IT'S SLEEP AWARENESS WEEK
Lovely, lovely sleep. My favourite thing. What a joy to spend a week being aware of how we sleep, and focussing on how to do it better.
In Yangon our home is right downtown on the banks of the Yangon River. Ooooh, how tranquil and exotic!! Well, exotic yes, but tranquil - sadly not. Great yawning container ships, sputtering putt-putt boats, honking trucks and bossy trains keep the soundscape lively at all times of day and night.
So when I come in from the heat and dirt of the day, and sometimes feel very far from home, these are the things that make me feel cosy, homely, and ready to sleep:
