These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products to you, whether these are goods, services or digital content.

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or submitting an order. They explain who we are, how we will provide products to you, how the contract may be changed or ended, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information.

By using our website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them.

If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone or email using the details provided at the time of ordering. We cannot be responsible if the contact details you provide are incorrect.

Our contract with you

If you place an order online you will receive an order confirmation email once the order has been submitted. At this point a contract between you and Kalinko comes into existence.

Please keep this email as it contains your unique order number which may be useful in future correspondence.

If you do not receive this email please contact hello@kalinko.com so we can confirm your order has been received.

We may be unable to accept your order for reasons including:

the product being out of stock
unexpected limits on our resources
inability to obtain payment authorisation
errors in price or description
the product being withdrawn
inability to meet a delivery requirement

If we cannot accept your order we will inform you and refund any payment taken.

Our products

Many Kalinko products are handmade using natural materials.

As a result:

variations in colour, weave, grain and finish are inherent characteristics of the product
sizes and measurements are approximate
minor irregularities are part of the character of handmade goods

These variations are not considered defects.

Images on our website and promotional materials are provided for illustrative purposes. While we aim to display colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that device displays reflect the true colour of the products.

All products are subject to availability.

Batch production

Where products are produced in batches, slight variations between individual items or batches may occur due to the handmade nature of production and the use of natural materials.

Such variations do not constitute defects provided the goods are materially consistent with the product description.

Samples

Samples are provided as an indication of colour, finish and construction. Due to the handmade nature of production, delivered goods may vary slightly from samples and such variation does not constitute a defect.

Made-to-order and bespoke items

Certain products may be made to order or customised to customer specifications.

Once production has commenced, made-to-order or bespoke items cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded, except in the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect.

Lead times for bespoke products are estimates and may vary due to production or shipping factors outside our reasonable control.

Delivery

Delivery options and charges are shown on the Shipping & Returns page of our website.

We aim to deliver products within the timeframe stated on our website and in any event within 28 days unless otherwise agreed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, but we will notify you where possible.

If nobody is available to receive delivery, the courier may leave instructions for rearranging delivery.

Products become your responsibility once they have been delivered to the address provided in your order.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.

Inspection of goods

Customers should inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Any claims relating to:

damage in transit
shortages
manufacturing defects

must be reported to hello@kalinko.com within 7 days of delivery.

If no notification is received within this period, the goods will be deemed accepted and in good condition.

Acceptance through installation or use

Goods will be deemed accepted once they have been installed, incorporated into a project, or used.

Claims cannot be made after installation or use unless a manufacturing defect was reported within the inspection period.

Delayed delivery and storage

Where goods are ready for dispatch but delivery is delayed at the customer's request, Kalinko reserves the right to charge reasonable storage and handling fees for goods held longer than 14 days after they are ready for dispatch.

Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP and exclude delivery charges unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

We accept payment via:

Visa
Mastercard
American Express
PayPal

Payment is usually taken at the time the order is placed unless otherwise stated.

Returns policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return unused items in their original packaging within 28 days of delivery.

Returns must include the completed returns slip provided with your order.

We recommend obtaining proof of postage as we cannot be responsible for returned items lost in transit.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

We may make deductions where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics.

Faulty goods

If you believe an item is faulty, please notify us at hello@kalinko.com within 7 days of delivery.

Where a fault is confirmed we will offer either:

a replacement, or
a refund.

We will cover return shipping costs for faulty items.

Items not eligible for refund

Refunds cannot be given for:

items returned after 28 days
items without a returns slip
damage not reported within the inspection period
gift vouchers
bespoke or made-to-order items

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Consumer cancellation rights

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

To exercise this right please contact hello@kalinko.com with your order details.

Returned goods must be unused and in their original packaging.

Commercial use

Kalinko products may be purchased for both private and commercial use.

Customers purchasing for commercial use are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended application and environment.

Use and installation

Kalinko products are designed primarily for normal household use unless otherwise stated.

Where products are used in commercial environments, customers are responsible for ensuring they are properly installed, handled and maintained.

Kalinko cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abnormal use or failure to follow reasonable care instructions.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kalinko’s liability for any claim relating to goods supplied shall be limited to the purchase price of the goods concerned.

We are not liable for:

indirect or consequential losses
loss of profit
business interruption
loss of business opportunity

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Events outside our control

Kalinko will not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations where such delays arise from events outside our reasonable control.

These may include (but are not limited to):

natural disasters
political instability
transport disruption
labour disputes
pandemics
delays in international freight

Personal information

We will use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

This may include using your information to:

process orders
manage deliveries
communicate with you
send marketing communications (which you may opt out of at any time)

Changes to our website

We may update our website from time to time. Content may occasionally be out of date and we are under no obligation to update it immediately.
