Collection: Bedcovers & Cushions

Our handwoven bedcovers are made on old-fashioned wooden looms in a workshop on stilts south of Mandalay in Burma.  The weavers "play" the loom it with a dance of pedals and swooshing wooden shuttles, the metronome clack of the beater providing the music as it swings back and forwards.

There is something very transformative about sleeping beneath a blanket woven on these looms. You fall asleep imagining the sound of swaying acacia trees and the swishing of looms in a quiet rural Burmese village.
